We all know that Triumph is busy launching a Lineage of bikes starting from the Street Triple, Rocket, Tiger and the latest Trident, which is due for the month end. Among the unveils we found out that Triumph is bidding for a sports tourer that will be called the Triumph 850 Sport.
The news comes to us via Motorcycle which found that the US Environmental Protection Agency has certified the Tiger 850 Sport alongside the different Tiger 900 variants. The emissions data and the claimed 94 hp at 8750 rpm are the same as the Tiger 900 models, and unchanged from 2020.
The bike will be going up against the likes of the BMW F900XR, Yamaha Tracer and Ninja 1000sx, which of course is the mightier one of the lot.
A critical decision has been taken to place its hands in the touring spot and the bike might be a winner in the slot if the same is priced correctly, which in the case of Triumph we know would be premium.
