Kawasaki unleashes the monster among Z, the Z H2 and Z H2 SE

Kawasaki launched the Supercharged Hyper Sport naked bikes Z H2 and Z H2 SE in India for 21.9lakhs and 25.9lakhs respectively. To mention that these are monsters in disguise would be an understatement!!!

Both the bikes get the 998cc Balanced Supercharged engine with premium components, like the Kawasaki race inspired Dog Ring transmission, Light weight Chassis, Assist and Slipper clutch, RAM air intake among others. While the ZH2 SE gets a premium set with Kawasaki electronic control suspension (KECS) with Showa Skyhook EERA Technology and Brembo Stylema calipers to put down the anchors. Other than that both the bikes get a range of features and functionalities that set the bike apart from its competition.

The Sugomi design with minimal design with maximum attitude was the design mantra for the ZH2, which is clearly visible. The frame is a light weight trellis frame that is specifically designed to be light all the while having the strength to embrace every component within from ripping apart while the max performance is revved out by the rider. The Ram intake runs along the side chassis of the bike. The 998cc Supercharged Engine churns out a staggering 197hp of power @ 11,000rpm and 137Nm of Torque @ 8,500rpm. The handlebar is compact and controls placed compact without much fuss. The Slipper and assist clutch along with the bi directional quick shifter helps the smooth operation of the bike.

On the electronics part the bike is managed by the intelligent five axis Bosch IMU to help the rider harness the supercharged beast in hand. 3mode KTRC (Kawasaki TRaction Control) helps to ride the bike in three modes, viz the Sport, Road and Rain mode. Rider mode helps the rider set his own settings as per his liking. Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) offers multiple levels of aid to reduce rear-wheel slip while Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM) helps optimize acceleration. Kawasaki Intelligent Braking System (KIBS) provides precision braking performance. Kawasaki Corner Management Function (KCMF) modulates brake force (KIBS) and engine power (KTRC) to facilitate smooth transitions. All of this bundled with three power modes gives complete control to the rider over the power as and when he desires. An addition to the electronics package comes as a premium with the SE version having the Kawasaki Electronic control suspension (KECS) with Showa's Skyhook EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) technology for the rider to adjust the bike for his comfort and control over various road conditions.

To sum it up the monster of a bike with light weight chassis but supercharged engine, a minimalist design but max performance, clad with the latest tech to help the rider control the beast as per his liking. The bikes viz ZH2 and ZH2 SE are priced at 21.90 Lakh and 25.90Lakh respectively.
