BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR twins launched in India

Updated: May 21, 2020

BMW launched the F 900 twins in India to put them against the competition which is fast growing in the country.

The prices (Ex-shoroom) are as follows:

BMW F 900 R: Rs. 9.90 Lakhs

BMW F 900 XR Std: Rs. 10.50 Lakhs

BMW F 900 XR Pro: Rs. 11.50 Lakhs

Both the F 900 R and the XR sport an increased displacement parallel twin 895 CC engine, churning out 105 bhp at 8500 rpm and 92 nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm.

In terms of standard features the ABS, cornering ABS, 2 riding modes & automatic stability control (traction Control) comes with the bike, BMW provides a long list of upgrades, adaptive cornering lights, key less ride, dynamic electronic suspension adjust, pro riding modes, Intelligent emergency call, ABS pro, cruise control.

The F 900 also comes as a younger sibling to the S 1000 XR with a slightly bigger tank than the R model and the same face as the bigger XR

We know the bikes would be going against the might like the KTM Duke 790, Street Triple and the Z900 and on the other hand the XR would go up against the Tiger 900 and others. While the competition is tough the company will have to keep its pricing under check to keep up in the market.
