The already excellent for lightness and completeness in the road version, the RS 660 has been tweaked by aprilia to be Race ready with the Trofeo edition.
The changes begin with the electrical system, while eliminating the key block, switches and ABS (the control unit remains anyway because it is necessary for the electronic strategies) while the braking system receives independent connections. The ECU is reprogrammed in the Race version, with "full power" mappings developed by Aprilia Racing and matched to the SC Project racing exhausts. The color TFT dashboard is reprogrammed and integrated by a dedicated left keypad.
The suspensions rely on a fork with internal cartridge, with adjustment of the hydraulic brake in compression, rebound and preload. The Öhlins AP948 rear shock absorber features hydraulic spring preload adjustment and compression and rebound brakes. The tires become the Pirelli Supercorsa V3 in SC1 compound .
The riding position also changes with a racing upper triple clamp with adjustable handlebars. The foot rests are adjustable and can be disassembled, in order to find optimal ergonomics for each rider. The hull is in fiberglass. The interventions on the engine raise the power up to 105 horsepower, while the dry weight drops to 153 kg from the already lightweight 183. The secondary air system and the thermostat are eliminated, while aluminum protections are installed for the clutch and generator cover and a specific SprintFilter air filter.
All the details are available on the FACTORYWORKS.APRILIA.COM website, through which Aprilia Racing can be contacted directly to order the new RS 660 Trofeo. The bike can then be sent to the customer or collected directly from the Aprilia racing department.
